March 27- almost 6 months here!

Havent written in almost 2 months! been putting this off. the only time I really have is weekends bc i work everyday from 8:30 to no earlier than 6:30. Its usually 7, sometimes 7:30. Then I come home and make dinner and hangout with Seth once he gets home and watch netflix. Spartacus the 2nd season prequal is over, but it was soo good. Now we're on to watching Dexter-soo good too-on 3rd season now. Stopped really watching sliders since the professor died. Work: Cant help it the days go by sooo fast! I like it though, laugh a lot there, like it because I feel like I'm in the swing of things and am comfortable. It's stressful, but I can handle it. Right now, I'm working like 11-13 reqs which is insane and Im talking with clients directly, which adds more work.  I feel like i wrote another post after the "last" one but i probably didnt. Anyways, so work: is my life, im still enjoying it, we've gotten some new ppl so Matt and I are not the newbys anymore, I've closed 2 deals! in my first 2 months-the first one the guy is making 50K and my company sees 10% of that, the second one I close was 110K and the company sees 20% of it. Tomorrow hopefully I will close (get someone a permanent, full time job) a 130K 25% deal. So my commission check should be as henry always said "a nice chunk of change." Gotten close to come ppl at work like Matt, Jason who calls me PCG potato chip girl- we joke around with teh food nazi jacob, new guy Christian, some others im really cool with too. Now Sheila is like one of my really good friends in New york. she just moved here too and is awesome, she's 29, persian-from minnosota haha ppl always said i looked persian. We go to tjmaxx/marshalls, get $1 slice of pizza, went to a scotch tasting at seths work, she came over one night and drank and ate bomb ass mac and cheese and wings with seth and peter and i, played card games, really fun. this past friday, i went out with her, her 16 yr old sister-born in 1994 what?! and some co workers to get drinks. then met seth, peter and chris out to see vcu enter the elite 8. last night, we went to a russian restaurant bc we got a yelp deal and the owner was pissed that we didnt tell her we had that coupon when we made the reservations, she was such a bitch which pretty much ruined dinner, then we left and went to..... a golden girls tribute party! this made the night awesome. got there after 1 AM and everything. It was at a gay bar and def saw some drags. Im so happy Seth found it...and came with me! The host was this fat white blonde lady wearing not much and she was hilarious. 4 gg impersonators-Dorothy was the absolute best! i took a pic with her did henny penny, and then the rusty anchor scene-we saw "blanche's" entire ass-no undies! there was trivia (peters gay friend lance who is obsessed with the ggs would have loved this) and they had ppl who went up there and read lines out of a hat. this one black dude read sophia: im an old, white lady, i dont see color... " omg SO funny.

what else: so much to tell, luckily (or unluckily) i dont do much during the week. Dont think i wrote about how a while back we went to see a movie in NY-$13 not even kidding true grit and also seth and i went to the beacon theatre for the decemberists concert at the beacon theatre a while back. that was cool. his voice sounded exactly the same live as not. Seth and I are going to the Fleet foxes concert in May. Kelly and I are going to the Usher concert in May in Newark. Im currently listening to to Dont leave me giiiiirl, please stay with me tonight. Ive discovered the wonders of boyz II men pandora-amazing. just hanging out in a bra, cooking and singing to the top of my lungs, luv it.

Ok so ive been going thru pics and clues trying to remember what ive done during the weekends. ok this is what ive peiced together:

feb 4th: did i write this already? All you can eat and drink sushi with peter, seth, and this chic and dude that also went to vcu with peter. super fun they encouraged saki bombs, not bad sushi either.

weekend of the 11th, 12th? think Peter's friend lori came over and we just chilled. On the way home, i saw a japanese guy in the subway dressed in an orange mouse costume, with an oversized purple sequin bow, a top hat with a barbie in it, and he was humping the air. He had a sign that said your smile is beautiful, I was like that dude is awesome. I gave him a buck. Looks like some dumb shit i would do. I told this to peter and lori and they were like oh yoshi? Of course out of all the japanese ppl in nyc, peter knew him. They all worked together at ippudo hahaha.

On valentines day, poor seth had gotten operated on-his tail bone-ew ill spare you the deets here. Anywho, he couldnt move so we stayed in and watched the Rain Man-good movie ive been meaning to watch forever, and ordered a heart shaped papa johns pizza. nah lol we didnt get the heart shape, but that was an option!

On Feb 16th, we went to the GIPSY KINGS at Radio City Music hall! Got cupcakes at Magnolia and walked in to Radio City We had awesome seats that I splurged on in the orchestra. poor seth was still really unable to move, but i had to get up and dance a little. probably recorded 70% of the show. Was so excited about radio city and them. They still got it, so soulful and they all can sing, super talented and sooo much fun. The place exploded into a party when they played their 2nd to last song, their hit Bamboleo! Lots of fun, great high. Wish seth woulda been feeling better, but still a great time! Really want to go to more shows, do fun stuff like this.

Feb. 18th weekend
Peter's friend Rosie came, she went to VCU also. One of the nights, all 4 of us stayed in and watched Teeth while drinking. Its about a girl whose vagina has teeth, a condition known as vagina dentata. Her vagina ends up biting ppls weiners/ fingers off. there were like 3 disgusting scenes. I watched all of their faces instantly transform to a "AHHHHH" and then laugh at the scenes. "Munch!"  I was dying. Definitely recommend watching this gawd awful movie soo funny. Also had her watching the Human Centipede "feeed huuuhhh" haha. Peter introduced us a week b4 to Maurica love match-a tale about a transsexual from the lower east side. "Oh you from westchester, that's what im looking for. Daas-it! I just need someone to pay for muh tits, platanos, all-ceety" pretty funny shit.  Saturday night Rosie- who i just met the day b4 and I went to a gay club in the upper west side, Industry. Lots of good looking gay men making out and such. Saw one tranny I think. We ended up meeting ppl that were at Seth's rooftop party b4 we lived here like Karen who i was really cool with that night, and Francis. Fellow flips. Karen and I have been in contact sinse like going to an art show and such. Saw her out when kelly came also. she went to tallwood. At the gay club, I was asked by a straight man if I was a lesbian bc his lesbian friend and his gay guy friend had a bet going. The lesbian lost bc i dont like chicks ha. then... a gay guy came up to me and told me i was gorgeous and went in for a kiss ultimately kissing my cheek. His gay friend was like omg im soooo sorry. haha. then we went to a diner.

Feb. 22nd mid week: Alex and Ben came to visit! I missed them. I met them after work. They were at the tail end of an entertaining beer tasting class. They had met a quaint canadian who they were calling liz lemon. she said words very canadian like. i made the best wing man for alex that night. We all went to McSorely's after which is always a good time, and then to Bon chon chicken mmm. Had a lot of fun with them, laughed a lot and was sad i had to be responsible and go. I have to go to bed before 1230 or i feel like crap all the next day. That was the only time I got to chill with them, except of course when alex inevitably woke me up at 4 AM and i hugged them all goodbye.

Feb. 25th: Kelly came to visit! On Friday, we went to Momo sushi with Seth and Peter. Then all but Seth went to Kareoke to meet peter's friend in town that he went to vcu with and we all had a private room. I didnt know anyone but Kelly, and I and this girl sang Ace of base and fugees, pretty fun. Then off to another couple of bars like this alice and wonderland one and some other one. However, kelly lost her 1 week old iPhone. Me: "Does he a black hat?" Kelly: "What does this look like, Vicky, guess who?" Then later, Kelly: "I don't know, I guess I just don't really like guys." So many funny quotes from this weekend. The next day, we went to Roberta's with Peter, then Kelly and I went to the TOP of the ROCK-rockafeller center. The elevator was cool, i felt like i was in a rocket about to take off. At first, we got there and I was like eh, the view from the empire state building is cooler-except you cant see the empire state building from the empire state building, so in that regard it was cooler. Also pretty up close view of Central park, just being able to see this big ol patch of grass. We came at a good time, we got to see it during the day and watched it turn into night. Sitting and watching the chrysler building instantly light up and the empire state building gradually light up. Really cool views of the city at night. Reminded me of seeing Paris from the Arc de Triumphe with Kelly in 2007.Glad we stayed there a good while. Then we went to Seth's work and had wine and then all went to Ippudo. While there, we got a call that someone found kelly's phone. We ended up getting multiple cabs, then meeting this thug in the hood while the cab was running. The thugs homie brought a vicious dog along and he had issue with the fact that kelly onlu had $40 to give him. "You cant be losing yo shit, especially when you be comin up short"  or somethin to that effect. Yeah kelly you need to be more responsible, thank you so much for finding this phone and giving it to us." -me, Seth had a knife on him, and I brought the pink pepper spray-that shit was scary. We got outta there quick- pounced in the cab, locked the doors and sped away, pretty funny slash scary as hell. you had tiny kelly ;)  seth twinkle toes lumberjack from pungo and me dealing with a crisis in the hood. oh man. What an adventure. We were supposed to go out that night with jasmine, but kelly didnt feel like it, and jasmine was distraught, and kelly and I stayed in and played card game golf with the boys, had some singalongs. Sunday, we went to see my work, altho couldnt get in to my floor, walked around Madison Square park, and saw flatiron building, then I recorded my video for Lola, in which I am reading her a poem that about lolas vacation to new york city. It was cute! Her whole class watched it twice in Italy. Then we just walked around, went to FAO shwartz and saw the big piano. Went to crumbs for cupcakes, then Kelly had to go home.

March 4th:
Sheila and I went to happy hour with everyone, was this when we played beer pong with Leanne and I sucked ass? Anyways if it was we got some tequila shots to celebrate, Tom G. -her favorite sales rep and I closing the 110K 20% deal. After chillin here, we went back to my house and Peter and Seth had made mac and cheese and wings, we ate drank and were merry. Fun times.
I met Sheila the next day for wine tasting, and then I dont remember what else happenned that night.

March 11: worked too much this week. However, Im not getting skinnier-i eat well here. grabbing food with coworkers and eating in the lunchroom. or making elaborate dinners-luv that grocery stores are right by us. The deli guy wont allow me to order in English only Spanish... Anywho Evan and Caitlin and Jaimie came this weekend. None of them stayed with us. Friday night, I met Jasmine in LES and then met Evan, Caitlin (one of me and Seth's couples-Evan is a trip- i call him Shrek or 5 head) met them seth, peter and robbie and one of cailyns teacher friends out. Then went to a bar connected to a bowling alley, drank a lot with jasmine and took pickys, then another bar. Drank a lot, ended night with Whiskey shots at some bar with the word whiskey. Pretty fun night hop dancing around, but wish i would got some more good time with Evan and Caitlyn. Seth was mad they didnt want to chill until 6 am. We were about to go on the train and i was drunk talking to the live maurica love match-only it was a chic i think, but she was tellin her crazy story about her crazy man and i was just agreeing with her in my ghetto drunkeness. then we got on the train and kept yelling "daas-it!" so obnoxious. got home and passed out on the airmattress cuddling jasmine fully clothed haha. Next day, met them all at a wine tasting, then Jaz and I went to her abuelitas house. Its in the "projects" in the LES, but it didnt feel ghetto. Met Jasmines mom who was visiting, and then left. The F train was not running uptown so i ended up being lost for like an hour or 2. sucked. besides this, I'm pretty good with the subway now. and i learned how to use my smartphone gps, which ive used once-this night.

I came home, ate my weight in cheese puffs (how come i remember that but not other things?) and met her and her friends from DC and her friend Amanda that we hung out with before and went to Roebling Tea room for dinner, Jaimie and I caught up, talked about how Hedy's dad was safe from the Tsunami that hit Japan-shit  going down everywhere like Libya-where my bro Chris is near... how her and her man Christian were and just caught up. Good to see her! I ate some bomb ass bacon mac and cheese and then we went to some really cool place in my part of brooklyn and went dancing. It was mostly obscure songs from old albums, but they did play some biggie and "baby when we're grinding, i get so excited" we met up with their mexican, jewish gay friend there too. Some guy recognized me from VB, no clue who he was went to ocean lakes and told me he was a lawyer as if that would impress me. Its a cool spot. Fun dancing with Jaimie haha-her and her self proclaimed white girl moves. Ive decided that every night that i go out should start out with a shot of tequila, makes everything fun. then afterwards, they came over to walk me home and so jaimie could see the spot. Jaimie is coming up for a Vicky weekend next.

March 18th, I was sick this week. I missed wednesday from work, didnt submit resumes or make calls, but took care of stuff for sure. Friday and Monday, we newbys-everyone that started at work after Dec. 2010, i stared Jan. 2011... anyways Friday and monday, we worked while they were drunk in cancun. Then Tuesday, they came back and we all worked from home. I was sick all that weekend. Didnt mind working from home. Friday was nice as shit 70s, we've had like 2 nice days this whole time ive been here. now back to 26 degrees what the hell. It snowed the other day! The only fun thing I did on this weekend was go to Iron Sushi in the LES and had some really yummy sushi. Then Seth and I got canollis. very fun. Lots of dexter watching.

I told you what i did this weekend, so I think I'm all finished. If anyone read all of this, then you lov me and more than likely i heart you too.

Saw more of lil baby Luna!on google chat shes soo pretty with her big blue eyes. and omg Casey had her baby too!! Baby finley-so crazy that she is in charge of a human life-insanity on ice! and that we're growing up like that-real adult no turning back kinda things. She seems happy.

Also.. I was on google chat with Eva and we picked out furtniture (sofa and a one seat couch whatever the hell thats called) and its coming this week! i dont know where the hell theyre going to fit, esp now with these 3 bikes in the living room that seth brought back from his 24 hour trip to vb. Im excited about it though. Got a little canvas painting from TJ. Need to get more artwork.

February 6, 2011

Its the superbowl but instead of going to watch 2 teams packers and steelers I don't give a poo about since we watched the giants and then the jets (almost made it) lose, I think I'll stay home and enjoy some down time. Havent had much sinse I started the job. Other day I was having a snack, sitting on the toilet and talking with my mother. . .

Job's going well. Have been there a month on the 10th. This new guy Matt, started with me on the same day, so we get to be new together. The first week was really slow and it was a struggle waking up so early, but now the days go by so quickly. 830-630 every day. I work for an IT Consulting company, Bluwolf (we'll call it BW). I work in the IT resourcing department as a recruiter. The outside sales reps go to meetings and get job "reqs" that we the recruiters have to fill. So say there is a Major League Bas eball (MLB) position and they need a level 2 helpdesk person. I by reviewing resumes, calling and research find candidates that would be ideal to those positions. It's a lot easier in my opinion than International government sales, and not as muti-dimensional as ADS, but it is still demanding. Its fast paced and I stilll feel like im slow. The days start off by going to "pipe" at 9 AM, where everyone discusses all of the opportunities that they are working on. I currently have 9 and most to all are moving meaning that something is happening with them and hopefully what that something is is that they are on their way to closing. I came really close to closing a deal on Friday, and hopefully my 1st deal will close tomorrow. The CEO came in on the day b4 my birthday and on my birthday and came down on everyone for why there were so little resumes submitted to this deal, or why we werent doing something to close the deals etc--i had all my defenses ready. It stressed everyone out and everyone is more ontop of their shit than b4. Everyone works really hard there and stays passed 6 most of the time. I dont have time to eat a lot of times and I just wolf something down that I brought from home.the culture of the place is cool though, though they might give you shit if they feel youre not performing 100%, they give you a whole lot of positive reinforcement. Like the day b4 my birthday, I asked if I could go to my birthday lunch and Kim (my boss), wendy is my boss boss, said that I could, I was soo swamped on my birthday, that I felt that I couldnt enjoy it f i went so i didnt eat at all. Kim said that my hard work was not going unnoticed. I don't get that many resumes in a day (goals are: 50 calls, 10 resumes daily), but the ones i do are usually really good and Kim gives me the hard ones bc she knows i'll find people. I usually get in my call quota though. I get up at 7 something, leave house at 750, M train comes at 8 and im there at 830 ish. Then I work all day (Matt and I dont know how everyone talks that much and gets their shit done, amybe i'll get there one day) and then leave at like 6 or 630, get home at 7 something. Make dinner, clean a little, iron for the next day, shower, maybe watch a show with Seth or the golden girls, or Spartucus (started up again!) and then bed to do it all over again. Pretty exhausting but im excited to be working again. The culture of the place is everyone is young and really talkative folks, people cuss, you can wear whatever you want and everyone is friendly and willing to help. 1st week there the company paid for us to get a small room in a japanese restaurant where we got free sushi, beer and kareoke. I felt right at home. Everyone was drunk and singing lean on me while leaning on each other, dancing on the couches, it was fun. We went out again the other night after our companies open house and it was a good time too. They are all going to cancun in March all except me and matt bc we started in 2011. We just missed it! Hopefully we get that friday and Monday off to do whatever. The location of where I work is fabulous! I work in the Flatiron district in Manhattan off of 5th avenue. We have the highest floor 21st floor, the penthouse suite with open windows surrounding us. Perfect view of the flatiron building and madison square park and the empire state building, etc. So exciting. Everyone jokes me for saying words like "yall" and I joke them for cwaffee instead of coffee. I ran into the glass door the other day, in front of all of the recruiters..they all died. It was pretty bad haha. I felt like those birds on the windex commercials who run into the glass bc it left a streak free shine (just about anyone can appreciate haha).

So what else? My sister had her baby Luna! and she named her Luna Stelle which was my pick. Born in Italy just like me and almost on my birthday-January 24, 2011 on my favorite year-11 is my favorite number no less. So excited. cant wait to see the cute little thing. I saw her today on gchat, but I want to see her in person. Will probably be 6 months I would say. Eva had Lola when she was 26... one year till im at that age, oh man. I just dont think I wantto have one until I'm 30. crazy how time goes by. Im going to go to sicily and then go to Spain with Rebee.

This has probably been the longest time since I have been without seeing my family. Well maybe not.. not sure how long I went when I was at JMU.

So Amie came to visit Tara with her other teacher friends. She was able to get away and we had a fancy dinner at SD26-pretty pricey Italian place next to my work. Im no good at fancy places. Maybe its bc i feel like im putting on a front. Amie couldnt pronounce any of the food names and the wine menu was on an ipad. She tried to break off a piece of the breadstick and it flew across the next table. It was over no need to pretend like we belonged there..time to break out the camera and take pictures of the food. In this case, a lobster salad and a bass? trout? some kind of fish. It was good and it felt nice to dine with her. We met up her friends for a lame improv comedy show and we went to a bar afterwards. Kinda awkward bc i knew they wanted her to theirselves and only one of three was really trying to have a good time, Amie was mad at them bc they wanted to stay in, in NYC. Seth popped in and we left. amie will come back and just visit me so we can lose our damn minds together.

I got a smartphone.. had to for work. They're paying for it too, may my beautiful and loyal (3 years) flip phone rest in peace...It is kinda cool what this phone can do. It has an awesome camera too, which i used to take pictures on the trees in Madison Square park dressed in heavenly snow. So pretty.

A little over this cold weather. so fucking cold and always snowing or wintry mix-ing or something. I feel like its always all hazy and I havent seen the sun in a while.

I hate seeing bums. I have some money now, so if i see one, I'll give to them. It's a sad thing and I dont think that thay all got there bc they were lazy or drug addicts or something negative like that.

Other day, met with a couple of Peter's friends and had all you can eat sushi and drinks off of 1st ave. somewhere, we made pigs out of ourselves mmmm. then went to mayumis where we played kings and hot seat with foreign people and hipster girls that shit was hilarious. One question from the Korean dude, have you ever had sex with the butt? hipster girl: yes. Korean: ooooo, that is good! just shit like that Seth was on the floor dying. Apparently its trendy in the hipster community to not shave their armpits... im spanish, that shit would be a hot mess if I attampted to pull it off.

Spartacus is back! Yay-uh.

My birthday started out real crappy at work, but when I got home it got better then not great then better again. Work was not fun and then I got home and seth and peter had been off that day and he decorated. I was starved and dinner was no where near ready. So i caught up with people, Sarah accidently forgot my birthday and felt like shit about it, altho her card did get here on time. I got to talk to my sister on my birthday that was good and actually most of my family members and most of my friends. Then we had buffalo shrimp and 30rock and then Seth didnt put on Golden girls (thats what he bought me! got it a couple days later and he bought me 25 roses 22 yellow and 3 pink for the years we had celebrated together :) and i thought he got snappy about the cake (bc he wanted to decortae without me seeing) and i thought he was saying that he didnt want to take me out the next day and I felt like the day was already over so i got upset and sensitive as i always do on my birthday. Seth settled me down and i went back in the living room and blew out the candles. The cake was soooooo yummy. Chocolate decadence with cream cheese frosting so good. Then i think we watched an episode of teh golden girls and probably cuddled?

The next day at work, I took my lunch break. Seth who was off again after working for 20 some odd days straight took me to a super fancy joint where everyone except us were in suits talking about deals and investments. It was restaurant week but still ended up being like 90 bucks, usually 2 can dine for 200-300 bucks. We had filet mignon, gourmet fries, ceasar salad, cheesecake and cabernet. So good! Great time and felt a little buzzed coming back in to work. That night we had a cutsey tv and dinner night. fun! that was that thursday.

On that fri, I was exhausted, but Mayumi and Fiona came over to go out and I was not not going out on my birthday weekend so went to some bar in Brooklyn and had some drinks there, then went to a party in Mayumis apt complex , robbie came and one of mayumis friends. It was whatever. Most fun part was dancing to 80s music later on in the night like fools. Stayed up til 4 and then April who decided on a whim to come came at 7 something. We went to Roberta's for pizza, shopping around here, i got a 13.00 dress for the night, went to Magnolia bakery mmm in greenwhich village, walked around and ate at CK14, the crooked knife, gt beers and then came back and met with jeaane. got ready went out to soiree, expensive. met some guys there who got us drinks i think i was the only one that drank it and i was drunkskies. danced a littlem jeanne found out the guy she was mackin on was engaged and then we got locked out bc i forgot my keys. seth drank wine and was wasted curled up on the air mattress like a cacoon and coulnt hear us. It was cold and 430 in the morning, i had a hair covering on like a muslim and my tights had shimmied to my knees, the cops were fucking with us and jeanne told them to shuttup while april was ranting about how we were going to get raped. Peter came home and we were saved. The cacoon never had a clue. We ordered Anytime and i puked a couple of hours later, such a bitch.

We went to Little Italy the next day and had awesome food with a funny ass waiter-forget the name. Food was cheap and good in a pretty nice restaurant where we had the place to oursleves and they played 80s? 90s? love rock jams? We dropped April off at the bus stop and then went to a really busy bar, Stout and then made plans to see a show in brooklyn, "Perfect place to tak your redneck friend from Virginia" hahah. We were taking a train towards Coney Island and Jeanne read, "coney island" out loud. B4 we knew it we were like "fuck it, lets go to Coney Island. 30 stops and an hour later we were there. I was expecting to see zombies roaming an abandoned theme park, but no such luck. instead we could see a dar ferris whell in the distance, made our way to soem rediculously fancy restaurant and then found a place, footprints and ordered some chicken. it was an all black bar and we were the only white-"ish" people. you know i never claim to be white, but im not black either. after chicken we got back on the train and went home. random as hell. we made plans to meet the next day, but she got 1 150? dollar ticket, couldnt find parking and went home. That monday, Seth and I went to the food tasting metromix party jeanne got us on the list for and ate for free to our hearts content.

Bought Radio City Music Hall gipsy king tickets! For valentines day (actually the 16th but whatever). Got orchestra seats. expesive, but how often will i get to do that?

Dont knwo if I told you that Seth got that job at Union Square Wines. so 2 jobs for Seth. He's still applying for a "real job" though.

Not sure what else is exciting... hmm oh well if i think of it, im sure youll hear.

last day of being 24

in 3 hours EST, I will officially be 25. Remember how old that sounded when we were little, or even younger. 25 was old, and tomorrow, I will be that age. by the transitive property, that means that i will be old. 1 quarter of a century. my 1/4 of my life has probably passed. I want to live to be 100. Pretty solid number. The US has a pretty low life expectancy, so i guess ill have to age in Japan- apparently eating live/raw fish keeps you alive longer? Do not know. I remember turning 19. I wrote over and over in the minutes b4 turning 19, "I am 18 years old, I am 18 years old." I have fear of time escaping me and as I get older, I feel more and more doors are closing. Like when you were little, everything was possible. But now I will never be a major league football player, a ballerina, not that i want to be, but the point is, the option isnt there anymore. I have such an issue with a life unlived, and growing old and being bitter because I didnt do all the things i wanted. However, I know I'm living part of my dream now. Im in New york city. Even though work is just work, as a shuffle in the cold to the subway to be a part of the huddled masses on the R train and then the L, I look around and I see the empire mothafuckin state building. more than I can say for VB. So I know im living, but you know me, I just want to squeeze the shit out of life, and live very deliberately.

alright im done with the thoughtful notes on turning 25-mid 20s. I know in the grand scheme of things im still a baby, and i know 30+ year olds would roll their eyes if i had any 30 year old old hag for friends that would read this! obviously joking. If I feel depressed in the future, I'll just keep watching my episodes of sex and the city and then Golden girls- they are all older and ALL just kickin it!

1/17/11

Just thought of this in the shower

Though I am the pilot of my life, it is He who impacts the skies.

01/09/11

I got a job. I start tomorrow at 10. Wild, I know. We'll get there. So ever since I last wrote, Seth and I went to a bunch of free wine tastings of expensive wines. Its pretty fun to do and I get buzzed quick. Daniel from VB was in town and joining in the thousands of New yorkers who all dress up like Santa Clause and walk the city. Pretty amusing. He joined us for one of the wine tastings. It's fun to go to the tastings with Seth since he actually kind of knows what he's talking about and can make convo with the wine host. ususally end up buying a bottle or two.

Found a new place to get my salmon sashimi fix=Iron Sushi II. mmm such big pieces for cheap.

We finally hung out with Seth (more Evans friend) Robbie, and met his gf too. They came over and we watched standups and drank. We rather enjoy doing that. Its easy and cheap-just like Blanche Deveroux. Watch a lot of the GG's.

Jeanne came into town with her new "soulmate" that girl has more soulmates than Dr. Scholl? He was kinda douchey and they're not talking anymore. He and his friends were very self proclaimed punk rocky with their little pins and such. Went to a dive bar and the highlight of that was getting to do the twist and just dance around to oldies. We went back to one of their places and I liked just being able to chill with her and catch up. it had been a while since we chilled, even though we keep in touch. Next time we chill, we said it would just be us at a club dancing.

At some point, Saarah and Hakeem from the Paragon NYC marathon expo came over and we had so much fun. I baked cookies and we drank and played kings, while listening to my money playlist. Saarah outed Hakeem to us, even though we knew and I was surprised about some other details of that while playing never have I ever during kings. The night ended with some deadly Chinese liquor from an unmarked bottle from the fridge. Seth puked into his cup-ew and hakeem yammied as well. Saarah took it like a man. Then Seth played a little violin and that scared the two into going back home. jk, they were leaving already. Good times. Just found out Saarah will be leaving for Germany this month as she got an internship in Germany with Addidas-crazy life this is.

I had been job searching in the form of looking at postings online and then writing down the deadlines of ones I was interested in. I had only applied to one-wounded warriors-felt that my ADS experience and desire to work at a NP could be combined. I then got distracted when Lea (the french girl that alex went cross country with) came up for a few days. No one was here and being how i am,  I felt that I had to entertain her, but dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it. She was mad cool and independent. She's a lot more trusting than I am-meeting someone once and then going to stay with them in Boston, etc. I felt like I had known her for a while. We went to times square area and the m&ms place. i looked for the crispy ones for seth but they have been discontinued indefinitely. We got ana marias pizza and got lost a lot in the cold, laughed a lot, shopped a bit. Her and I went with this guy Phillip that she met at Joshua Tree (in a car!) to Brooklyn Boulders- a climbing gym with those colorful things on the rocks. They were experienced-not I, but i caught on pretty quickly and wasnt bad. It was a really cool experience. They even harnesses me up and I climbed to the very top of one. Damn sore the next few days. Went to the Bushwick Country club after and saw the first snow! then by Phillip's recommendation, watched "Let the Right one in" some Swedish Vampire movie. The next day, I spent researching companies that would be at the career fair we were going to. That night we watched one of the finest movies of all time, "The Human Centipede" Ass to mouth lol. We chose that movie to be the representative of American movies to our foreign guest haha. We drank everytime anything ridic happenned-often, and played card games where I was doing awesome. Pretty damn cold, like 6 degrees...
Snow wasn't bad at all.

Next day, Seth and I went to the career fair. Got there a little late and the wind was fierce. Had unexpected little mini interviews with only a few companies-like some NPs, after some left very early. Dropped my resume off by Blue wolf's just for the heck of it. Spoke to a recruiter and told her, I had worked a career fair to, so i knew how exhausted she was. She took an interest in that. After Seth and I thought the career fair to be a bit of a dissapointment, I got an email the next day asking for an interview with Blue wolf for the Recruiter position. Seth was hatin' on me a little because he thinks that it comes so easy to me. I was super nervous and slept awful. I was tired as crap during the interview with 3 sep. people, but it went rather well. The company seems cool as shit-young, work hard play hard mentality, take vacay whenever as long as you get your shit done, take the M train minutes only and walk a couple blocks to get there, nice part of the city-flatiron district-saw the amazing flatiron building! Wasnt sure that I loved the position exactly, but I dont know. So that day, as I was on the Sprinter bus home-they were late as usual, but the ride was fine, Blue Wolf called and said that they luved me and if I could go in tomorrow-I was on a bus so.... they would meet with me after the new year.

Went home for Christmas for a week. Seth was gonna come home for the first time too, just later. I spent the first couple of days Christmas shopping. Chris and Alicia got a new dog-very American name that I am against-Max. Cute little puppy that looks like Mooney, only a dog instead. My favorite present I gave this year was for Emman. I bought a frame and printed out the best selection of pics from New York.  he liked it he said it was thoughtful. Mom like her evil eye bracelet, and of course Chris liked his lotto tix. Mom and Dad got new cell phones. Mom and Dad paid for my loan this month and this was the first year in a while,I didnt wrap my own gifts and was surprised. Got some Chris Rock standups and giftcards. It was the year of the GPS. Emmanuel went Christmas shopping for the first time in his favorite store Macy's. Eva and the girls didn't come : ( Seth 's family bought me a bunch of things like slippers, blanket, jewelry box, scarves, candy coal in my stocking and pumpkin pie. Seth got a guitar, which we've been using to sing. Even made a funny video where we're singing a new Decemberists song and I'm hiccupping the whole time! I got Seth m&m minis, exp. wine, wine glasses and a tie. He got me a giraffe painting from a union square artist and a Bradshaw Giants jersey that i still dont have. It was a nice Christmas, despite opening our presents super late due to company. Lunch was really good as always, and Seth came over and watched a Christmas Carol with me after he came and got me from hanging with Kelly and Court bc of the bad snow. Snow ruined my plans to go out to eat with the girls at Olive Garden and then see Seth's friends at Lendy's. I only got to see the girls-except for Casey at Hedy's. We had a brunch and exchanged ornaments-I know I felt like we were 50. Had a lot of fun eating yummy french toast with them. Hedy cheered and then Sarah M. said a prayer and started crying. I rudely, said are you serious right now and that got some chuckles. pretty amusing when I later said to her, Sarah youre not going to cry during the ornament exchange are you ha. Reminds me of when I was cutely talking to Mooney and my dad said, Mooney cant talk, he's just a baby. hahaha. He always says funny stuff like that usually only to the receptive ears of Emman and I who crack up so hard when he makes his ususally more subtle dad jokes... So yeah Brunch and then chillen with the girls after was fun. Steven and I went to Keagan's and it wasnt as fun as it usually was seeing him-maybe we're running out of things to say? I dont know. Sarah and I did lunch at Yama one of the days excited about her trip to NYC-she didnt end up coming bc of the snow, but that's probably for the best since she'll be coming in March. Christian and I went to Chick no pick and saw Kim there. Christian talked about how he wanted to go with Julian and just go on tour. I full fledge support that boy. he shipyard will always be there. Then we got lottery tickets and I won $20! He said, I love how we always find shit to do. hahah. lov that kid. Went out with the fam and Kristen and April one of the nights to guads, which was eh and then kelly's that was more fun. Peter Cerwinski was in town and I met his 200th girlfriend. Seth's friends were there like Ben. Played pool and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Fun night. Got taco bell after as always. Went to Yama again with Alex and Aid and Seth and met Aids new girl. Ate a lot of Christmas leftovers. Felt like I did more during thanksgiving break, but still fun.

Then I got back to NYC and kelly came with, and went to long island to see fam b4 spending the new year with us. Seth had the work the next day, there was a dispute about what the "inside seat" of a bus is. and I lost Seth's phone that he's had for 3 years. He was phoneless for a week but now is the new proud owner of a verizon Droid Incredible. I don't really care about that stuff, but that's cool that someone I'm usually with can look stuff up if need be. The commute back with the out of service trains and the walk back in the 20 some odd inches of snow/slush with a rolly was Hell. Sucked a whole lot.

Kelly came and made a comment about making out with Peter at 12-all four of us were going to the Brooklyn Winery for NYE. all you can eat and drink for 85 bucks. On new years Eve, we went to check out the Rockafeller center and tree, took a pic with Dora, went to NBC store and looked at 30Rock Merch and then shopped for Red undies. Then, we went to Roberta's that Kelly loved.
We got dolled up and went to the winery. 3 rooms-one dancing room that no one was really dancing in with a photo booth that we had a blast at, party hats-seth's spanish farmer hat, the room you walked into that had a jazz band and pulled pork and such, and a spanish room with spanish wine, chorizo and JAMON SERRANO! mmmm good shit. We stayed there for a minute. It was fun, just being silly like slow dancing with kelly, watching seth's face transform into the distinct, drunken one and lots of eating. Then at 12, we did the grapes and I dropped one, but picked it up and kept going. Still had 2 left when it was new year. Seth half assed kissed me while focusing his attention on kelly and Peter who were eating each other's faces...and repeatedly  throughout the night. Seth looked like a proud papa. anywho, we kept partying and everyone had a really good time. Dont remember the cab ride home at all.
So new years was fun, but just wasnt the same without being at home with the fam or without having Sarah around. The girls all went to watermans.

Kelly had to leave and I was hella hungover with my first wine hangover and after attempting to eat bacon, toiletside, puked in the tub. yummy. its funny a lot of people start off the new year in the worst way.

So I had my 2nd interview, with the director of sales and you know its going to be a good interview when you start off by talking about Voyage of the Mimi haha. So that went well and after finding my way back home, I got an offer for 40K plus commission, and I accepted.

Since then, we watched the Giants beat the redskins, but not get into the playoffs bc the packers beat the bears... really pissed off. but yesterday, we saw the Jets beat the Colts in such an exciting game! super fun to watch. Robbie came to that in Greenpoint, BK. We also went out the other night with people that Peter works with to St marks and ate some good food then went to the kinds of bars i dont like where youre screaming so that poepl can hear you, and one of his friends amatuerly read my palm and she was cool, this spanish guy was cool but quiet and the other guy, gasian Lance was as obsessed with the golden girls as I am! We talked about them for a good while. How fun. Our favorite is Dorothy. Oh Bea. Pretty fun night.

Seth and I spend a lot of our time making food here and watching Sliders haha. Quinn or Mr. Mallory, Ms. Wells or Wade, The Professor and Rembrandt, Mr. Brown, Remmi, or the crying man are a part of our life now haha.

I got alicia on gchat and I spoke to my sister that way too after chris set it up for her "I can heAR you, jackass" lol. Her belly is huge and she is going to pop any day now. well i think the 24th actually.

Ive made goals that i want to do everyday, bc there's a;ways things that Iwish I did, but if you dont make yourself do them, they arent going to happen. such as eat better, workout (gilad is my fave), read everyday, read the news, drink more water, talk to one good friend. things like that. right now i think that i talk to my mom and Sara the most and Ive gotten closer to them. anyways these things are important and hopefully, Ill keep up with them as I work.

Im excited about not having to worry that much about money-although I still have money left, and excited about diving in and just doing it and getting to live more. I didnt look for a job very hard at all, and I hope that everything works out for the best. I will have to do some volunteer work on the side like mentor a child to get my volunteering-being a good person-you dont have to do everything but do something fix.Its funny bc i'm still not thru with the Alchemists and I kind of feel like im going against some of the teachings there, but we shall see if this job makes me happy and what it all brings. Seth, we think is going to get an offer to work part time at union square wines bc paragon only gives everyone 4 days, which would be good and bad. I'd definitely get to see him a lot less and I fear that he will get stuck in a rut or lose steam at looking for other things on his only day off. We shall see.

Ok well I'm nervous and excited about tomorrow. Hopefully I can get okay sleep tonight and the commute will go well. Ttys.

blog numero 3 nyc 12/05/10

So I've almost lived here for 2 months! It's been fun. No job yet and no I dont need anyone pestering me bc i will get one when I get one. With that being said, the job hunt starts tomorrow and so I wanted to write my blog today... Man i have had lots of visitors. At one time, we had 4 or 5 people spending the night in this little apt. craziness.

-Some comedy club promotional guy who sorry Courtney apparently not all black people know how to do the dougy, sold us tickets to Dangerfield's-the MC Ray was hilarious and so were all the standups. much funnier than the guys from the 1st comedy show. ya get what you pay for i guess and the drinks were pricey. Great time there.
Next, we went home and got ready and went out. Yay clubbing with the girls in the city,  only we didnt know where to go but we had heard people talking about the meatpacking district so we went. Didnt know where we were going. Eventually after a while ended up at 675 a coverfree really fun club where Court was flirting with some brits and some guy just planted one on hedy. We danced and I got to catch up with Lynz. Fun time from 2 am  till 4. cabby took up home, i puked on the side of the road and cabby called me and told me my phone was in the cab... we watched a 30 rock episode the following day where that happened to Liz and he brought it back to me

Monday November 15th
got pizza at the place over by the subway, walked Hedy and Court to subway and they left

Found out that my sister was going to leave on th 20th and that she would therefore not be here for Thanksgiving day, so i decided to come home on the 17th, meaning id get there on the 18th and then we could possibly do an early thanksgiving-it's arbitrary anyways like i called it - Happy the Native americans shared with the white folk and the white folk slaughtered them months later day. However my sisters mother in law was coming at the same time...Let me also mention that yet another bus incident- the motherefin bus broke down for 5 cottonpickin hours on the side of a delaware road, luckinly i was able to upload pics and charge my phone and hang with my new found friend but it still bloew. I decided to write waht i was thankful for in the spirit of thanksgiving i guess.  Chris Goodloe picked me up and we postponed thanksgiving and just had it on the normal day without my sister-the lengths i go to hang out with miss preggy pants. Lola picked out a middle name for the baby- tuna. Luna Tuna haha. I hung out with her and her mother in law until Saturday night, going to Chuck E cheese, hanging with the neices and watching internatioal house hunters, while she packed, ate lumpia and all other things right with the world.

She left and other notable things about my Thanksgiving "break": Got an adorable winter coat from NY and co. with my mom
Went out with Kristena dn April to Kelly's- we looked like poo and still had some guy buy is drinks.. I was drunk and it was fun
Went over to Christians and watched Boys in the hood, and then walked around outside in his slippers looked like we were at an old persons home or an insane asylum. Either way, he\;s one of my only friends that i can hold a deep convo with
went out to Olive gardeen with Jenna and caught up with her
went to Court's friendsgiving-beautifully set up table, good food, and gt to catch up with prego Casey, Sarah, and see hedy and court again-good time
-went to Watermans for 80s night-had so much fun getting ready and singing in Courts room wityh Court, amie, Kelly and April and then outto watermans to dance to 80s music. We all had so much fun that night. went to chichos and saw kia too and russ, and ryan J. drunkskies i was. i hung out at courtney;s for several housrs, but  I wouldnt spend the night tho bc i lov the smell of turkly cooking in the morning or afternoon when i wake up
-"Happy birthday, Victoria" Emmanuel said, oh it was surely my birthday indeed-thanksgiving is the happiest day of the year. MMMM. Great food as always. Poor seth stayed home and didnt have anyone to celebrate wth but  finlayy went and ate with one of his friends. The next day was our 2 year anni but I wouldnt get home until the day after. I think balck friday is some kind of a joke. take people who are in recovering from a hangover from Wednesday, suffering from a food coma from thurday, nevermind Turlkey makes you feel like youre drunka dn then tell them all to go run around town and fight for bargains in long lines with other crazed people. hmm
Black friday-i was one of those crazy people at wal-mart at midnight and the exchange was a madhouse, bestbuy had ppl camping there looked like homeless in an alley, Dad and Alicia bought tvs,i got a crockpot for 3 bucks that was my claim to fame. bought a couple of Christmas presents.

It was time to go home. I bitched about my trips on the Springter bus and got a free ride back to ny. Emman decided to come up with me as he'd never been to NY. He told me he wouldnt come until i got a job bc he did not wantto distract me, but everyone falls for thr NY magic.

1st day: (ok ive been job searching for the past 2 days.. discouraging, but hopeful too)
got home successfully and then went to McDonalds on Small business Saturday, then took naps-Emman realized how Puerto Rican my hood was
-went to Central park and discovered a whole new section of park-beautiful and most fun ive had at central park so far even saw Cleopatra's needle!
-ate at some Irish pub and then went to Times Square-Emman said, "I am really happy right now." took a million pics during this trip also
-fuckin facebook is annoying me telling me theres no pics in my album, but here are the people in the album what kind of sense does that make?
-Seth brought me back 24 roses (1 for each month) we'd been together for our anni
-went to Union Hall in Park Slope a bar in a nice part of brooklyn that has a bocche? ball area, and books everywhere like a library and paintings of old dead important folks-had a bet going on who the guy outside was. I thought it was either Alexander Hamilton or Andrew Jackson. Cool bar
-Got Ana Maria's Pizza!

2nd Day:
-Empire State building 86th floor out of 102 floors observatory-tallest building in city, amazing views, got entertaining audio to listen to and a map pointing all major buildings, streets, etc. out in New York-so cool
-random deli for lunch then decided to wait for seth to go to World trade center the next day so just started walking around-what a great idea that was-saw so much on that walk such as good views of some of the buikdings we'd seen from ESB like Chrysler building-so gorgeous, outside view of Grand Central station, the public library, Rockafeller center but tree not yet lit and then we stumbled in St. Patrick's Cathedral just to look around and take pics, but a mass was just starting so being Catholic and Emmanuel raised so decided to stay. It was beautiful and the 1st day of the Catholic Church's new year. told to make the resolution of charity, no not giving money to the church, but just being charitable in our everyday lives. What a good experience.
-our feet/ his knee hurt a lot but we decided to pick up Seth and go to China town/little Italy. It was not buzzing. Pretty dead, but we went to Ferrara for cannolis, and then walked to the LES and ended up at st marks place and went to Kenka-food was gross, so not the best choice but cotton candy was good and i think that's all we did that night

3rd day
Went to Roberta's for lunch which was a success. yummy pizza, pear salad and emman got good cappucino
-went to the Financial district and went to a mini 9/11 museum, saw one of the world trade center buildings-not yet built and saw the plans for the site-those buildings are going to be ginormous!
Walked around there-emman is an accounting guy now and enjoyed all the financial buildings and their architecture, saw wallstreet, and the Bull! took innapropriate pics with it haha, trinity church was pretty from the outside, but we didnt make it in
Ended our time in the financial district by seeing the statue of liberty during sunset soo pretty
-went to cool Union Square to the open market area, got cider, looked around
-went to McSoreley's and some drinks with the resident cat
-met up with Chris and Peter at Stand for burgers and sweet potato fries where Jasmine (1st time i'd seen her in NY) met us
-went to what we thought was a stand up show invited by seth's coworker, but was a less funny but still entertaining skit show (cling ons-from startrek, space jam song, really not hilarious cops except the black guy)
-walked around the city and took pics of Empire State building
-went inside Grand Central Station
-all of us went back to our place, watched comedy central standups

4th day
-Ippudo with us 4 - a hit
-bye emman

Since then... hmm saw April and her man last Friday. went to their hotel room and then got yummy chicken wings at Boka and Lychee soju. then went out to Central, but after a little bit they dipped. Seth and I chilled then went to Kenka for the cheap beer of course, then back to central where Jasmine would be. Some dude was all over her and so i didnt really get to see her. Drunk talking with Seth at Kenka was fun though. and that night i saw the lit up rockafeller tree. I will go iceskating there before the season is up!

On Saturday, Seth and all went on an arduous and freezing (ef busses!) journey to Queens for his surprise Anniversary dinner. Spanish restaurant called Marbella. had jamon serrano which you know is the love of my life and manchego cheese, cheated on my moms paella with this one which was good, had sangria and dessert consisted of creme brulee. There was a harpist too which was a nice surprise who personally played us Killing me softly one of my favorites although surprising to hear coming out of a harp, there was a customer turned opera singer there too and overall a good restaurant that I hope to make it back too despite the adventure getting out there. Happy 2 year anniversary.

Went to Croxley's on Monday which has an awesome deal for Monday night football, a buck fiddy for 15 wings to see Seth's new team, the jets lose.

Had a really good time last night. Went to Momo Sushi Shake with Peter, Seth, Tomo and his friend So. The place looks like a garage with three cedar? picnic tables in it and the sushi is really good. Had a good time there and then also when we got back to our place and they started drinking. got to know So and chilled with Tomo and then Seth played the violin for everyone.

Ok hope I didnt miss anything. Seth is sleeping bc the routine is now stay up till 4 Am, then he has to be in at work at 9:50 and then he comes home and sleeps... My schedule is wake up at 2 PM i know its awful, look for jobs and cook and clean and play online, call ppl sometimes, and eat dinner and watch 30 rock, and chill until 4 am... productive. I think that everyone should take some time off like this if they can afford it. A re-set. It connects you back to you. I know how it is when you get busy and always stressed out and always on teh go looking at ok whats next whats next..but hanging out with me especially at night and letting your thoughts roam where they may without all that outside noise (not talking about the Puerto rican music) is really healthy. I remember working and being on vacation (people usually need vacations from their vacations if youre go, go, go, on them too) and i couldnt even relax because I was like oh man im missing so much at work, everything's piling up. Ohh I should really respond to this email... this is nice but of course financially a bit stressful.

Ok caught up ttyl!

New York entry 2 11/02/10

So sitting at Chris's drinking his home made pumpkin beer, staring at the deer head jutting out from the wall and watching them play xbox live with Sean who's being just as lame in VB haha. Just talked to Sara and was planning with her what we were going to do when she got here. We have a little calendar (why isnt that word spelled CalendEr?) that we're working off of. You know i gotta be productive.

So dont know if i mentioned that there's a place across the street where you get you pick out you own live chicken and they slaughter it and pluck it for yas. Hmm I can't get personal with my food before i eat it, although i had never thought twice about eating a fish with the head on until one of my friends freaked out about it. I think my mm or my dad sucks the head haha that sounded funny of fish and shrimp? I dunno. Anyways, so I went home on the 22nd because of family stuff and hung out with them the whole time. It was fun. TJ maxxin, walmartin, targetin, and lots of good food and Yama!, good to see my sister and the girls after a while of not seeing them. We celebrated my brother's 30th bday with amazing food, cake and got him a kindle, and i brought back a bunch of stuff for my apt like a pan, platos hondos, cups, curtains to block out the light and it promisd it would block out noise, but i still hear the song. Had fun at home hangin with the fam. The bus ride up there, i took a nice bus, it was 60 bucks round trip and though it left almost an hour late, it was clean, had free wi-fi, played movies like Killers, Star Trek and some generic Twilight movie- I will never watch that movie, and what else free bottled water. The trip back was not quite so nice. The nice bus decided to cancel for 2 whole days and i had to fight with Tammy, who's English and customer service skilled sucked. My brother in law helped me fight her...took a long ass time to get that squared away, but finally did. anyways, i left on the 28th back to NY and took a ghetto China bus. I almost died a few times. First, there was a Chinese black war on the bus, the bus driver and a family cussed each other out ending with why dont you learn how to write English, Im from this country mother efer and threats to go back to Newport News. Turns out the family claiming they could read English and the Chinese couldnt, were indeed wrong, but as all the other passengers said, "i want gon' say nu'in" anyways after the war, i met a nice guy who was qually annoyed at al facets of the ghetto bus. Someone spilled a Mr. Pibb on the bus and i put my bag down on it. Then, the guy behind me propped his stinky feet my my face, then the bus driver slams on his break and my ipod that has been out of its case twice since i got it in 2005 went flying 3 seats down in that nasty mr pibb. I knew it would happen because i had bragged about how it was scratch free and i was being punished for it somehow with a nice scratch on the screen. I was so upset, which i know is dumb because it's a material thing, but still. The bus as dirty and whatever i was miserable. Too bad that a plane costs so much more... at least 160 bucks plus rides to and from airport. And get this the bus company actually has it in their terms and conditions that you cant bring corpses on the bus. pheww-glad they had that in writing, i almost brought ol' Frankie Sinatra. Anywho, Seth met me in China town and we went home.

We watched one of the greatest movies of all time-Hocus Pocus and get ready for the rally in DC

Seth got an offer from another place, but decided to go with Paragon. They are having a....

ok so it's now 11/07/10 sorry for the delay and lapse in story...
DC rally. Put on our costumes and slabbed on the facepaint-papa smurf, Smurfette and Beaker and went on the bus with the Colbert audience and colbert's interns. Nice bus and snacks/metro fare included. We met this nice older lady who hung out with us for a while and the main Colbert guy was cool. There was at least 250,000 people there and we got Special Guest passes which means that we got to be closer up than everyone else except the VIPs. It was a cool experience. At times it felt a little slow, but still very cool. There was musical performances by" The Roots, John Legend, The OJs, Cat Stevens!, Ozzy, Sheryl Crowe, Kid Rock -not my favorite at all but he wasnt too bad, Kareem Abdul Jabaar, some guy from Law and Order, etc. Mythbusters guys. Besides musical performances, John Stewart and Colbert did some skits and going back and forth with each other. Pretty funny. Colbert's so funny. For his entrance, he pretended that he was a couple thousand feet down as a Chilean miner and came out with the Chilean flag "when i say chi, you say lay, chi-lay, chi-lay" So pretty good time. And Jon Stewart's ending speech was a good one-it wasnt bashing on the retarded tea party or anything, but more positive. We thought that everyone would be dressed up, but there werent too many ppl. Sadly enough, being a smurf was the closest I've ever come to being famous. Sad, I know. But everywhere we went people were snapping pics like crazy like"poppa"razzi, we'd hear "smrfs!" everywhere. Our signs read, "We put the Blue in red, white and blue. Papa smurf for Congress, who's your papa?" and the other said, "We're here, were smurfs, deal with it with a if i may say so myslef, a very good depiction of the 2 smurfs painted on. Peter or rather Beaker's sign was on point it said is a series of colors and sizes one solitary word: MEEP!My face hurt from smiling. I swear Seth and I have 500+pics out in cyber space. We found a few. We were interviewed a few times also. This one girl nonchalantly walked by and said" ha, gangbanged" to me. Hilarious. Well that night when we got back, we walked through Times Square, only we looked unkempt and looked more like homeless smurfs than anything, but still people wanted pics-like kids. We were a hit. People dont make eye comtact on the subway, but youd see people just look and smile to themselves. We made children happy, and a couple of old men who would tell me that their street name was papa smurf. Best costumes we saw were the clockwork orange crew, a used condom, and Captain planet, nad of course, Quailman. Didnt you always wonder, if Quialman was a figment of Doug's imagination, why did he put him in a makeshift costume. Why woudl you draw a belt on your head, when you could draw a medallion of pure gold? i know right.
After all that, we went to Mayumi's roomates birthday party pretty late and met some cool peeps there, none of them had played kings before and they all had a ball with us. Left at like 6 am. Next night on Halloween, we went out with Peter and some of his friends from the restaurant. Went to Crocodile Lounge which was dead but with every single drink purchase, you get a free personal cheese pizza. Isn't that rediculous and awesome? After that, we went to Lit, a coverfree club and that was fun. I needed some dancing, and hadnt been to a club in a long time. That will change when the girls get here, yay!

So because the girls are coming and that whole unemployment thing, I need some cash. With rent, loans, cell phone, food, laundry and everything else that doesnt stop coming despite lack of funds, the girls coming will be pretty expensive too. Seth got a job with Paragon sports- they are just finlaizing what exactly he will be doing for them. He worked like 70+ hours this past week for them. He asked me if I wanted to work  a temp job also in the New York City Marathon Expo where 40,000 runners would be picking up their pacets for the race and several companies would have booths there to purchase from. Paragon sports had 25 of the 75. Seth told his boss I was cute and they put me in the Puma booth. "Don't smudge those pumas" I had to go in and train at Paragon on Tuesday which entailed looking at 3 racks of Puma clothes and learning about tennis shoes from this nice runner that worked there. I was so proud of myself. That was the first time I had ridden the subway by myself and I found the store with no problem. I had left my house 2 hours early, so now i was an hour an a half early. Made it home perfectly too. Then for the next four days, Seth and I would get up at 6 something in the morning (even harder cuz it's cold) and take 2 trains to the Javitz convention center. Wednesday, I reported to the Puma booth and set up and Thursday, Friday and Saturday for 12 hours everyday, I worked the expo. It was fun, met some cool people from Puma and Paragon and worked hard, but joked around with everyone I was working with. Got a bunch of free puma gear fo free like shoes, a watch, pants, 2 shirts, a hat. We had the most fun booth with a race track that calculated your mph, which i was charged with getting people to sign up for and keep track of the fastest male and female. it would hurt to see them fall like they were diving into a slip and slide. I had fun with all the foreign folks, even got to use some of my spanish. I got to wear Hussein Bolt-fastest man ever in the world blow-up arms and dance around with them on the last day, i'm gonna be on Puma's website too. I was super putgoing-i blame it on the lack of sleep which allows me to act siller than usual and the frequest visits to the power bar booth where Seth worked. Anyways, had a blast working with the people i worked with and had a really good yet exhausting time.

Last night, we were supposed to go to a potluck, but we were so tired, we slept and then went over there at 230. the party girl was smashed beyond belief which was hilarious and then Seth and I went back to the apt, drank our brewskies and watched our show 30rock.

So yeah, Sara is in town hanging with Julia now and we're going to hangout tomorrow. Jeanne is also coming into town and we're going to a bartender contest. Apparently Jasmine is moving here this thursday too? If she does, it's going to be insane.

PS. I think I saw my first crackhead yesterday. ok well my first blatant in your face literally crackhead...
